Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR) is a powerful approach to treat PTSD, phobias, anxiety disorders and other conditions arising from traumatic life events. Through lecture and experiential exercises and video and live demonstration, participants learn the theoretical basis for EMDR, the criteria for its use and the basic protocol and procedures to implement it in an integrated therapy.
Dr. Manfield's Part I and Part II together with 10 hours of consultation constitute an EMDRIA-approved Basic Training. Upon completion of Part 2, individuals must complete 10 hours of group consultation to complete the 50 hours of training. Group consultation can be arranged with Dr. Manfield, and a variety of face-to-face and telephone groups are available at a cost of $30/Hr.
