PEP Review Course

Review Course for the PEP (Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists)
The Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP) was developed by the APA Practice Organization's College of Professional Psychology as part of the credentialing of licensed psychologists receiving postdoctoral training in psychopharmacology. This Review Course covers the major content areas of the PEP. THE CLASS WILL BE TAUGHT  LIVE OVER THE INTERNET.  Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussion. Power Points and other instructional materials will be available for students to download. The course will be archived, so you can review any sections that you missed, or want to study further.

 

Instructors: This course will be is taught by Dr. John Bolter, a prescribing Medical Psychologist and CSPP psychopharmacology faculty member, and Dr. Randall Tackett, Pharmacologist and faculty member at CSPP and University of Georgia.  Both of these instructors have a  familiarity with the PEP and have taught this Review Course several times over the past 10 years.

 

Suggested Text to accompany the course:  Handbook of Clinical Psychopharmacology for Psychologists, edited by Mark Muse and Bret A. Moore, published by the American Psychological Association, 2012.  The chapters of this book are modeled on the PEP, and written as reviews for the exam.

 

 Cost:  $395 which includes live access to the course, access to the archived recording of the course, and access to course materials to download

CE: 16 Hours of APA-Approved Continuing Education Credit is available for an additional charge of $50
