Women soldiers face multiple layers of trauma, from the male environment of the military to sexual harassment to war trauma. This class will discuss critical clinical issues, theories, and research about female soldiers. Clinical cases from Israel and the US and tool kits will help participants develop practical approaches to this work.

Based on recent research and trainings, Dr Serlin will draw from overall approaches and specific techniques used in trauma treatment centers in Israel and the United States. She will also present research on the status and needs of female vets in California, conducted by the California Research Bureau.
