
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR) is a powerful approach to treat PTSD, phobias, anxiety disorders and other conditions arising from traumatic life events. Through lecture and experiential exercises and video and live demonstration, participants learn the theoretical basis for EMDR, the criteria for its use and the basic protocol and procedures to implement it in an integrated therapy. This is part I of a two part EMDR Basic Training approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). To
Complete Basic EMDR training, you must take EMDR Part II with Dr.
Manfield. Upon completion of the second course, individuals
must complete 10 hours of group consultation to complete the 50 hours
of training. Group consultation can be arranged with Dr.
Manfield, and a variety of face-to-face and telephone groups
are available at a cost of $30/Hr. Participants who complete
Part 1, Part II, and 10 hours of consultation are eligible to become
certified in EMDR and to become members of EMDRIA.
