Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, (EMDR) is a powerful approach to treat PTSD, phobias, anxiety disorders and other conditions arising from traumatic life events. Through lecture and experiential exercises and video and live demonstration, participants learn the theoretical basis for EMDR, the criteria for its use and the basic protocol and procedures to implement it in an integrated therapy.

Course participants are eligible for Level I certification.

These courses are approved by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) and are equivalent to Level I and II training through the EMDR Institute.

Philip Manfield, PhD, is a psychotherapist in private practice in the Bay Area for over 25 years and has trained therapists in EMDR for the past ten years in the United States, Canada, Europe and the Middle East.
