This advanced seminar builds on the information and training covered in the core Fundamentals classes and addresses advanced assessment and intervention skills with infants and preschoolers. Participants explore in depth several models of intervention in IPMH and develop their own approach to IPMH practice. The theories and availability of evidence based and promising practices in mental health treatment of young children and families are examined, particularly as they relate to specific diagnostic, cultural, and systemic contexts. Strength-based and transdisciplinary collaborative process are emphasized, as well as developing public policy.

Sacramento Instructor:
Beth Limberg, PhD, RPT-S is a licensed psychologist, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director of the doctoral clinical psychology program at CSPP/Alliant in Sacramento.

She was Program Services Manager of Building Blocks Early Childhood Intervention Program at the River Oak Center for Children for several years She is a national trainer on the DC:0-3R for Zero To Three. She presents extensively on early childhood mental health and has published two book chapters on Ecosystemic Play Therapy with young children.

Fresno Instructor:
Martha Moore, PhD is a licensed psychologist. She was the Clinical Supervisor for the Infant Family Program at Exceptional Parents Unlimited for several years. She co-developed and taught the Infant mental health learning lab Curriculum in Fresno County for non-clinician providers and worked as a psychologist with the Infant Mental Health team at Fresno County Mental Health Youth Link. She has a private practice in Oakhurst and Fresno.

San Diego Instructor:
Lily Cosico-Berge, PsyD, ATR-BC, RPT is a licensed psychologist and registered art & play therapist in the San Diego area. She is also a clinical supervisor at East County Outpatient Counseling, an outpatient clinic for children from birth to 21, and a psychological consultant to Head Start.

She has developed and directed early intervention and treatment programs for infants, preschoolers and their families and has worked extensively with high-risk and multicultural populations. She uses an ecosystemic and relationship-based approach in her work, with particular emphasis on integration of diversity issues. She is trained in Incredible Years (IY), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Infant-Parent/Child-Parent Psychotherapy and Trauma Focused CBT.
